It is a new residential quarter, the first of its kind in Klaipėda. It will occupy an area of 6,5 hectares. The neighbourhood is located just 300 metres from the Curonian Lagoon in the vicinity of the new ferry terminal between Taikos Prospect and Minijos street. The distance from Gandrališkės to the clean sandy beaches in Smiltynė is just 500 metres, and to the peaceful recreational spots abundant in cool forests and sand dunes in Neringa, 22 kilometres. About 6 thousand residents will live in Gandrališkės neighbourhood. 29 residential housing estates with 1742 apartments will be built. The total living area will be around 147 thousand sq metres. There will be a two-storied parking garage with 3306 spaces (1,5 parking spaces per apartment). The buildings will house 197 office and commercial space units (28 thousand sq metres). Small shops, parlours, coffee shops, public service companies, health care centres, legal service offices, banking offices will be situated on the ground floors of the residential buildings.

Different size apartments in the residential buildings have been built to cater for varying family needs and resources:

two room apartments - 49,04 m2;
two room apartments - 57,21 m2
three room apartments - 75,04 m2
four room apartments - 92,81 m2
four room apartments - 117 m2
luxury two level apartments with patios on top floors - 180 m2.
Most of the apartments are equipped with individual 4 sq m utility rooms (to store bicycles, prams, etc.).

High quality "ETERNIT" facing panels of a wide colour range and which are resistant to a maritime climate will be used for finishing the exterior of the buildings.

The most sophisticated and advanced engineering, structural and technological solutions will be used in construction of this neighbourhood of modern architecture and balanced infrastructure.

A very significant and beneficial feature of the design of this neighbourhood are the pedestrian walk-ways and recreational zones above the parking lots. The ventilated parking lots will help preserve a clean environment in the city’s centre. Automobile engine noise and alarms will not be heard in the inner courtyards of the residential quarter.

A big attraction of the new neighbourhood will be the functionally planned and tastefully managed environment, wide sidewalks with bicycle and skateboard paths, crossover bridges, green lawns, recreational zones with impressive bushes and trees, pools and fountains, forms of landscape architecture, which will merge into integral whole. Residents will have the opportunity to rest and socialise here. Panoramic views of the lagoon, Curonian Spit and the Baltic Sea will open up from the sixth floor level.

Innovative and stylish architecture will predominate in Gandrališkės. The neighbourhood will be built in the integrated manner (construction is divided into 11 stages) in order to ensure that its future residents enjoy peace, tranquillity, comfort and a healthy environment.
